Nigeria has officially entered recession! This is good news!

Nigeria has officially entered recession! This is good news!

According to CBN statistics, if a miracle does not happen before September, Federal Government will be unable to pay salaries by October.

In other words, if the Niger Delta Avengers can sustain their campaign till September ending, the federal government, despite receiving 52% of our national income, might be needing a bail out by October!

I have always had the feeling that the country’s economy might collapse anytime soon. I have always wanted it to happen as an alternative to a political revolution.

Maybe thats the quickest way we can reorganize our political and economic structure. Maybe thats the only way we can sit down and think. Thats the only way we can be sincere and prudent and truthful and patriotic.

Someone should tell President Buhari that we cannot fix the Nigerian economy without first fixing the Nigerian politics. The owners of the crude oil have decided to destroy their crude and they are not going back, now is the time for us to establish a real national economy based on regional competition and individual productivity. The Niger Delta region has fed us for too long with their crude oil money, now is the time for us to feed ourselves as a country without crude oil money.

We cannot diversify our economy under this unitary-military, central command, skewed, corrupt, feeding bottle federalism. It is true federalism that will diversify our economy by entrenching regional competition, state efficiency, individual innovation and national productivity.

Again, someone should tell President Buhari that we cannot fix the Nigerian economy without first fixing the Nigerian politics.

The real change is coming. Lets embrace it…
